SINGAPORE (February 24, 2000) - As the Royal Australian Air Force rethinks its attack/recon helicopter mission, the Greeks have opened a competition for 24 machines.

The Greek government has issued request for between 16 and 24 helicopters to complement its 24 Apache AH-64As.

The request comes after Boeing announced an upgrade for Israel's Apaches and company executives are confident that Egypt will follow for its 35 A models.
