Rolls-Royce Aero Engines Gets Tri-Star Overhaul Farnborough, September 4 -- Rolls-Royce Aero Engines Services Limited today announced an order from the British Ministry of Defence for support of RB211-524B4 engines on the Royal Air Force fleet of Lockheed L1011 TriStars. The order is reported to be worth up to $100 million. The contract calls for a six-year, comprehensive support package. Also included is an option for an additional four years. Rolls-Royce Aero Engines Services (RRAESL) is a separate business of the Aerospace Group of Rolls. It provides overhaul and repair services from four locations in Britain.
